Box Score BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's basketball team fell in the final minutes to visiting Hollins University 48-46 on Saturday in Nininger Hall. Prior to the game, the Eagles honored seniors Erika Nettles, Diamond Huskey and Erin Dietz.

How It Happened
- Hollins took an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter before the Eagles stormed back to come within one point at 11-10 on an India Dailey jumper. Melanie Pick officially helped Bridgewater take their first lead of the game, 13-11, on a three pointer to end the first quarter
- The Eagles extended their lead behind baskets from Reagan Maynard and Pick to take a 17-13 edge. Bridgewater was 4-6 from the field in the quarter compared to Hollins who went 4-12 from the field. The Eagles also grabbed nine rebounds compared to Hollins' two to take a 27-24 advantage entering the locker room
- The teams traded points to start the third with Hollins taking their first lead since the first quarter on three pointer to bring the score to 36-35. The Eagles took it right back on a Dailey layup and extended it to three to end the half on a Jaden Alsberry bucket
- Entering the foruth quarter with a 39-36 edge, Bridgewater did not make a field goal until Nettles sank a three at the buzzer. The damage had been doen as Hollins escaped Nininger with the 48-46 victory, their second over the Eagles this season
Match Notes
- Nettles led Bridgewater with 11 points and eight rebounds followed by Alsberry with eight points and 14 rebounds. Pick added seven points and eight boards
- The Eagles shot just 30.6% from the field but was able to outrebound Hollins 44-32. Both team struggled from the free throw line as Hollins went 9-17 and the Eagles went 13-24
- Hollins added 14 points off of 27 BC turnovers while the Eagles were only able to add eight off of 22 Hollins turnovers
