SALEM, Va – The Bridgewater College men's track and field team wrapped up a competitive day two of ODAC Indoor Track and Field Championship capped off by multiple podium finishes.
Mike Smith kicked off the day with a first-place finish in the shot-put recording a toss of 14.83 meters (48'8") setting his new personal best. Smith also moved to second all-time in Bridgewater athletics history.
Peter Fulton also added to the Eagles domination in the shot-put taking home second with a mark of 14.20m (46'7 ¼").
The Eagles grabbed more hardware in the pole vault as
Easton Repko took second with a mark of 4.15m (13'7 ¼") setting a seasons best.
In the triple jump
Anthony Matthews took home third recording a best jump of 14.17m (46'6") setting a new personal best. This jump also moves Matthews into seventh on the all-time list for the Eagles.
On the track,
Kyle Clanton grabbed more hardware with a third-place finish in the 60m running a time of 6.88. This time sets a new personal best for Clanton and allows him to tie for third all-time in Eagles history.
In the 60m hurdles Moon finished fourth with a time of 8.67 setting a new personal best and placing him 10 on the all-time list.
In the 400m
Kaegan Avalos ran for a time of 50.38 grabbing points for the Eagles team.
The Eagles saw a pair of new personal bests in the mile as
Anthony Cadle ran for a mark of 4:38.18 and
Ryder Rose ran for a time of 4:48.49.
The men's 4x400m relay team finished seventh with a time of 10:46.17 grabbing points for the Eagles.
The Eagles wrapped up the ODAC Indoor Track and Field Championships in second place with a total of 98 points improving upon last years third place finish. Winning the ODAC Championship was Lynchburg with 169 points.
The Eagles are back in action Mar. 4 at the South Region Final Qualifier in Winchester, Va.
