LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The Bridgewater College equestrian team finished ODAC Championship competition with a fifth-place finish and Kelsey Quinn was named the conferences Rider of the Year.

The event included two over fences phases, where all four riders from each team competed and the score was taken from the average of two judges. The final round was on the flat and only two riders per school competed. Their scores also came from the average of the two judges.

The Eagles finished fifth in the first phase over fences and fourth in the second phase over fences. The Eagles placed fourth on the flat notching the Eagles fifth overall on the day.

Quinn earned rider of the year after being the highest scoring individual of the day. Quinn also earned All-ODAC honors for her performance.

Quinn finished the first phase over fences with scores of 85 and 87 points averaging out to 85.500. In the second phase Quinn averaged 85.500 with two scores of 85.5. On the flat, Quinn averaged 84.500 points contributing to the Eagles three points in the section.

Ellie Wienreb was the second rider the Eagles sent to the flat finishing with an average score of 78.500.

In phase one of over fences, Caroline Warren averaged 79.500 points, Emily Nuthall averaged 20.000 points and Weinreb averaged 40.000 points.

In phase two Warren averaged 68.500 points, Nuthall Averaged 95.500 points and Weinreb averaged 81.500 points.

Lynchburg took first overall in the ODAC Championships grabbing three of the eight all conference spots. Phillip Williamson of Lynchburg also took home coach of the year while Lari Ohanessian was named Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Hollins and Sweet Briar tied for second in the final standings while Washington and Lee finished fourth overall.
