LEXINGTON, Va. - Bridgewater College women's swimming opened the season at ODAC Relays landing the highest score ever at the meet Saturday afternoon at W&L Natatorium. In the team scores, Bridgewater took fourth in a field of nine teams totaling 162 points.
With that result, Bridgewater scored higher than Roanoke for the first time as the Maroons scored 102 points, respectively.
The women faced strong teams throughout the relays. The Eagles had the highest scored relay finish in the program in the 200-yard freestyle relay with Tessa Gorby, Mia Flory, Grace Warren, and Nelle Hines for a fifth-place finish. The relay team clocked 1:45.42.
In the women's 3x50-yard back relay; Grace Warren, Annabelle Dragan, and Noa Steven took a strong sixth-place finish for a 1:27.39 time.
Also, in the 100-freestyle relay; Warren, Flory, Steven, and Hines took a sixth-place finish with a time of 49.32.
Bridgewater took an eighth-place finish in the 3x100 IM relay with McKenna Curry, Annabelle Dragan, and Peyton Lawrence.
To round out the day, the Eagles went seventh and eighth in the 100 Underwater Dolphin Kick relay.
