Women's Swimming Finish Day 3 at ODAC Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Bridgewater women's swimming completed day three action at the ODAC swimming championships at Greensboro Aquatic Center Friday. 

Through the preliminary session, both Nelle Hines and Rory Cantwell advanced to the finals in the 100-yard butterfly with 59.46 and 59.68 times. 

Grace Warren took fifth in the 200 Free, advancing to the finals session with a prelim time of 1:57.74. 

Peyton Lawrence in the 100 Breast Prelims, took a 1:08.07 time and advanced to finals. 

Lexi Roberts advanced to finals in the 100 Back with a time of 1:01.30. 

Warren took on the finals session in the 200 Free placing sixth individually with a time of 1:58.27. That mark qualifies Warren for Second Team All-ODAC recognition. 

Bridgewater also placed fifth in the 200 medley relay (Lexi Roberts, Peyton Lawrence, Nelle Hines, Whitney Speeks) with a time of 1:51.36. 

The women sit at fifth place in the total points scored with 239.5 points. Washington & Lee continue in the lead after three days of competition with 610.5 points. 

The Eagles continue tomorrow, Feb. 15 for the final day of action at the ODAC swimming championships in Greensboro. 

 


Wednesday, Feb. 12 

Day 1 

In the 800-yard freestyle relay with Grace Warren, Eve Umberger, Melia Ross, and McKenna Curry, the Eagles placed fifth with a finals time of 7:54.87. Washington & Lee took first in the event with a time of 7:40.24 

Thursday, Feb. 13 

Day 2  

In the prelims, Grace Warren posted a solid time in the 500-yard freestyle to advance to the finals with a 5:09.59 time and a second-place finish. 

During the finals session, Warren finished third individually in the 500 Free with a finals time of 5:07.33. That time qualifies Warren for All-ODAC Second Team recognition. 

Bridgewater took fifth in the 200-freestyle relay (Rory Cantwell, Melia Ross, Nelle Hines, Whitney Speeks) with a time of 1:39.52. The women also placed fourth in the 400-yard medley relay at a 4:03.11 clip. 

Friday, Feb. 14  

Day 3 
 

In the prelims, both Nelle Hines and Rory Cantwell advanced to the finals in the 100-yard butterfly with 59.46 and 59.68 times.
