FOREST, Va. - Ben Bermudez of the Bridgewater Football team has been named the ODAC Special Teams Player of the Week after his performance in the Eagles' win over Averett on Saturday.

Bermudez got the call as BC's place kicker on Saturday and answered strongly in his first collegiate start as he went 5-for-5 on point after attempts and drilled a pair of field goals. The junior's make from 36 yards out in the fourth quarter is the longest field goal make in the conference this season. 

The Eagles are back in action on Saturday at Shenandoah in a key ODAC matchup at 1 p.m. in Winchester.
