BRIDGEWATER, Va. -
Elijah Choy,
Wyatt Jervis and
Evan Welsh of the Bridgewater College football team have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.
In order to earn the honor, a student-athlete must play in 90% or start in 66.7% of a team's contests while maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher.
Choy earned his second CSC recognition after serving as a team captain and starting all nine contests for the Eagles in the secondary. The senior tallied 48 tackles in his fourth campaign, along with three pass breakups, an interception and a fumble recovery on the way to a Third Team All-ODAC selection.
Jervis earns his first CSC honor after seeing action in all nine games in 2025. The junior had a carry in each game for the Eagles this season, but his best contest came in late September as he erupted for 117 yards and a score in a win at Averett.
Welsh returns to the Academic All-District listings for the second-consecutive season. The senior set career-highs across the board in 2025, including being a huge piece of the Eagles' season-closing victory over No. 25 Hampden-Sydney with three catches for 102 yards and a pair of receiving scores.
The Eagles closed out 2025 with a 3-6 record and a 4-4 mark in ODAC play.
