FOREST, Va. - Bridgewater College women's track and field athlete Jade Buckles was named ODAC Track Athlete of the Week, announced by league office Tuesday afternoon. 

Buckles competed in the Burg Open, hosted by the University of Lynchburg at the Liberty Natatorium on Friday, Jan. 9. The Stafford, Va., native competed in the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash. Buckles took first in both events, clocking a 7.80 in the 60, and a 12.25 in the 200.  

Buckles was the ODAC champion for both events last season.  

Buckles and the women's track and field team head to Landover, Md. On Friday, Jan. 16 to compete in the Robert Comstock Cardinal Classic, hosted by Catholic University.
