FOREST, Va. - Mackenzie Cauthorn has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week after a pair of shutout victories.

Cauthorn helped fuel the Eagles' 4-0 start as she picked up a pair of wins in the circle. The senior made two starts in the circle over the weekend and was nearly flawless. The Tappahannock, Va. native opened the weekend with a complete game shutout in the Eagles' rout of Mt. Aloysius on Friday where she struck out nine batters and surrendered just two hits. She backed it up on Saturday with another gutsy performance as she tossed seven scoreless innings en route to her second-straight shutout in a win over McDaniel. She allowed just three hits and struck out six batters in Saturday's 1-0 win. 

In total, the senior recorded 15 strikeouts in 12.0 innings of work. Those 15 punchouts were triple the amount of hits she allowed and accounted for 41.6% of the outs she recorded. That total number of strikeouts ranks 17th in Div. III and paces the ODAC. 

The Eagles enjoy some time off before heading west to California for a slate of games over spring break.
