LEXINGTON, Ky. - Bridgewater College women's volleyball has received even more national votes released by AVCA Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles notched 48 total votes in the national coaches' poll this week ahead of a massive ODAC tilt against No. 24 Washington and Lee on Friday, Oct. 2 on the road.
Also on tap is a matchup against Mary Washington at 6 p.m. today, Sept. 29. Bridgewater enters the matchup with an ODAC leading overall record of 11-1 and an undefeated conference record through three matches. Last Saturday, the Eagles went the distance and claimed a five-set thriller over No. 17 Batten.
Reagan Stoop has been at the center of it all as she currently is posting 142 kills and 3.38 kills per set which ranks top four in both categories in the ODAC. Stoop also has 30 service aces, 122 digs and eight block assists.
Sophomore libero Marlee Backover leads the Eagles in digs with 131 while Agnes Alford is leading the way in blocking with 20 total blocks including six solo blocks.
First-year Maecy Ann Frizzelle remains a spark for the Eagles' potent offense as Frizzelle is totaling 107 kills and 129.5 total points.
Washington and Lee is recently nationally ranked after being nationally recognized last week. The Generals also defeated Batten last Friday in five sets. The Generals are 10-1 overall and 3-0. The Eagles, however, have a higher winning percentage at 91.7 percent.
