Randolph-Macon opened up the lead in the second half Saturday to
defeat Bridgewater College, 14-8, in ODAC lacrosse action.
The Eagles played on even terms with the Yellow Jackets for most of
the first half, but two goals in the final minute gave
Randolph-Macon a 5-3 lead at the break.
The Yellow Jackets scored the first two goals of the second half,
but the Eagles responded with goals by Christina Pybus and Mary
Robinson to stay within two goals, 7-5.
Randolph-Macon outscored the Eagles 3-0 over the next seven minutes
to open a 10-5 lead en route to the 14-8 victory.
Robinson led the Eagles with three goals. Pybus, Erin Cartwright,
Leslie Crawford, Megan Bach and Noelle Najjar scored one goal each.
