ASHLAND, Va. - The Bridgewater Eagles (4-2, 2-0
ODAC) men's tennis team earned conference win number two of the
year with a 9-0 victory on the road at Randolph-Macon.
Senior Chris Radke got things started with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at
number one singles, while freshman Peter Hawkins continued his
early season dominance with a 6-0, 6-0 straight sets victory at
number two. Hawkins has yet to fall this Spring, turning in six
straight wins.
Randolph-Macon (0-5, 0-5 ODAC) was victorious in a mere seven
games against the Eagles as BC dominated singles play.
In doubles action, the tandem of Radke and teammate Brad DeWitt
turned in an 8-2 victory as the Eagles swept doubles play.
Bridgewater is back in action Saturday, March 20 when Guilford
comes to town. Saturday's matchup with the Quakers is slated for a
2:00 p.m. start.
