OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team started its weekend road trip with a 5-1 win at Stevenson on Friday evening.
BC opened by taking the doubles point and sweeping the action on the doubles court. Paul Kasse and
Will Wallis got BC on the board with a smooth 6-0 victory at No. 2.
Eli Entsminger and
Brandon Gillispie secured the doubles point with a 6-1 victory at No. 3, while Piotr Wisiewski and
Corey Beshoar secured the sweep with a 6-4 victory at the top spot.
Kasse gave BC its first point in singles play with a win by retirement at No. 2. Beshoar rolled at the top spot to a 6-1, 6-2 victory. Wallis kept the ball rolling at the No. 5 spot with a 6-1, 6-1 win to make it a 5-1 BC lead before the rains came and washed out the rest of competition.
Logan Garner was ahead 6-1, 2-0 at the No. 6 spot at the time of the weather delay.
The Eagles continue their weekend road trip with matches at Eastern and Aracdia on Saturday weather permitting.
