LYNCHBURG, Va. - Bridgewater College picked up its first ODAC victory of the season Wednesday as the Eagles rolled to an 18-8 win over Sweet Briar College.

The Eagles dominated the first half of play, taking a 16-3 lead at the half, and coasted to the convincing victory.

"We got off to a really fast start and were able to relax in the second half," Bridgewater head coach Kathy Kerr said. "Overall, it was a good victory for us."

Caitlin Costello led the Eagles attack with five goals. Aili Knapp, Sarah Bursey, Leslie Crawford, Noelle Najjar and Mary Robinson added two goals apiece for the Eagles. BC goalkeeper Colleen Schwind finished the game with nine saves.

With the victory, the Eagles improve to 1-4 in the ODAC and 8-5 overall.
