BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Bridgewater
College's men's tennis team notched its 11th
victory of the season with a 9-0 win over the visiting Randolph
WildCats on Senior Day at the BC Tennis Courts.
At number one doubles, the tandem of Teddy Callow and Peter Hawkins notched an easy 8-2 victory in their first contest of the
season at the top doubles post.
Brent Floyd and Martin Donaire teamed up for an 8-0 win at
number two, while the duo of Jordan Miller and Matthew Chaulkin
recorded a victory by default at number three. With the win, Floyd
ups his wins total in doubles play to a team-leading 13
victories.
Senior Chris Radke made it a special Senior Day with a 6-0, 6-0
win at number one.
Junior Brad DeWitt earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at number two to pick
up his 15th triumph of the season.
At number three singles, senior Jordan Miller posted his first
win of the Spring with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
Junior Tim Gower was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at number four, while
Chaulkin recorded a 6-0, 6-1 win at number five.
Bridgewater won the point at number six singles by default.
On the day, the Eagles allowed the WildCats to win a mere five
games.
Bridgewater is back in action on Monday when Roanoke comes to
town for the regular season finale.
