LEXINGTON, Va. – The Bridgewater Eagles men's tennis team dropped all three doubles matches before falling in a pair of singles affairs en route to a 5-0 loss to the Hampden-Sydney Tigers in the ODAC semifinals at the Duchossis Tennis Center at Washington and Lee.
In doubles action, Bridgewater fell by 8-3, 8-3 and 8-2 tallies to put the Eagles behind by a 3-0 score heading to singles.
Hampden-Sydney was victorious at number two when senior Brad DeWitt closed out his record-setting Bridgewater career with a 6-3, 6-4 loss.
Junior Brent Floyd later fell by a 6-3, 6-3 score at number three to close out the match, handing the Tigers a 5-0 shutout win over Bridgewater.
Bridgewater was leading the unfinished match at number one, while Hampden-Sydney led the matchup at number five. The showdown at number four was tied at one set each.
The Eagles finish the season with a 14-7 record.
