LYNCHBURG, Va. - After taking a 2-1 lead in doubles, Bridgewater split the six singles matches Friday for a 5-4 victory over Randolph in ODAC men's tennis action.
Bridgewater's Kyle Hartfield and Christian Lynn slipped past Dario Schiani-Moriello and Daniil Lyalko 8-6 to pick up a point at No. 1 doubles. Brandon Larsen and Thomas Rishcoff then won at No. 2 by a score of 8-4 ovr Bradley Strober and JT von Seggern.
The WildCats picked up their point at No. 3 where Trevor Johnson and Doug Corbett defeated Aaron Snook and Cameron Rhoney 8-4.
Randolph's Strober defeated Larsen at No. 1 singles 7-6, 6-1, but the Eagles won the next three flights to clinch the match.
Hartfield won at No. 2 by a score of 6-1, 6-0 over von Seggern while Rishcoff outlasted Johnson 6-3, 7-5 at No. 4 singles.
Lynn scored the clinching point with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles over Lyalko.
The WildCats won the final two flights to make the final margin 5-4.
Corbett defeated Snook 6-1, 6-4 at No. 5 singles and Schiano-Moriello downed Rhoney 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5.
