BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater College picked up a conference victory in men's tennis action Tuesday with a 5-0 decision over Hampden-Sydney.
Rain showers forced the match indoors and the teams agreed to play to decision.
The Eagles opened play by sweeping the three doubles matches.
Christian Lynn and Kyle Harfield put the Eagles on the board with an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles over David Anderson and Patrick Bryant.
Brandon Larsen and Thomas Rishcoff stopped the Tigers duo of Nathan Horvit and Trent Singleton by a score of 8-4 at No. 2 doubles.
At No. 3 doubles, Bridgewater's Aaron Snook and Cameron Rhoney took an 8-3 win over Jed Dittmar and Myshake Abdi.
Bridgewater closed out the match with wins at the top two singles flights.
Larsen defeated Singleton 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles while Hartfield blanked Bryant 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2.
The remaining four matches were not completed.
