LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team won its third match in a row with an 8-1 victory Monday over Lynchburg in ODAC action.
The Eagles swept the doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead.
Kyle Hartfield and Joe Dillenbeck got the Eagles started with an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles over Dom Gutierrez and Josh Johnson.
At No. 2 doubles, Thomas Rishcoff and Emmett Johnson defeated Lynchburg's Andrew Link and Bryce Barber 8-3.
The Eagles duo of Freddie Roberts and Nathaniel Horner completed the sweep with an 8-2 victory over Nick Savino and Jordan Falinski at the No. 3 slot.
Bridgewater added victories in five of the six singles matches to finish off the victory
Hartfield blanked Gutierrez 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1 slot and Rishcoff downed Johnson 6-1, 6-2 to win at No. 2.
Dillenbeck stopped Link 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 and Roberts defeated Falinski 6-2, 6-1 to take the No. 5 flight. Horner closed out the Eagles scoring with a 6-0, 6-1 verdict over Savino at No. 6 singles.
Lynchburg picked up its lone point at No. 4 singles were Barber defeated Bridgewater's Johnson 6-2, 7-5.
