LYNCHBURG, Va. - Lynchburg College completed a weekend sweep with a 15-2 victory Sunday over the Bridgewater College Eagles.

The Hornets jumped out to a 2-0 lead with two runs in the first inning and then pulled away by scoring the remaining 13 runs during the fourth, fifth and six innings.

Bridgewater avoided the shutout with a run in the seventh when Jake Bailey singled, took second on a passed ball and raced home on a single by Jacob Talley.

The Eagles added their final run in the ninth. Parker Mead doubled and scored on a single by JT Creed.

Mead and Bailey each finished with two hits for the Eagles.

Bridgewater returns to action Wedneday when the Eagles host nationally-ranked Shenandoah.
