BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/ Rawlings released the all-region selections Tuesday afternoon as six Bridgewater baseball athletes garnered the recognition. 

At designated hitter, Zack Chadwell (Chesapeake, Va.) posted impressive numbers all season. Chadwell broke the single-season RBIs record in program history. Additionally, Chadwell led the team with 16 home runs and posted 81 RBIs across all 50 games played. The power hitter snagged All-Region First Team and All-ODAC First Team honors for the second-straight season at BC. 

Evan Bert (Harrisonburg, Va.) pieced together a strong season on the mound for the Eagles. Bert ended the season with a team-high of 85 strikeouts and a team-best 3.48 ERA. Bert tossed three complete games and made 14 starts. Additionally, Bert struck out 12 batters in two games in the season, which was the most in a single game in his career. Bert landed All-Region First Team for the first time at BC. 

In the outfield, Bryce Suters (Broadway, Va.) put together a commendable senior campaign. The left fielder appeared and started in all 50 games played this season while collecting season-high performances in his career at BC with a 1.064 OPS and a .368 batting average including 71 hits, 51 runs scored, 52 RBIs, eight home runs, and 26 walks. Suters earned All-Region First Team and All-ODAC Second Team recognition. 

At first base, Chandler Valbak (Ashburn, Va.) nailed All-Region Second Team honors after a dominant performance at the plate. Valbak ended the season with 72 hits and a. 458 on-base percentage as well as a team-best batting average of .381 across all 50 games played.  

At third base, Ashton Smith (Chesapeake, Va.) also landed strong numbers in the 2026 campaign. Smith smashed his season high in home runs and runs scored in his career at Bridgewater with 13 blasts and 53 runs scored. Smith received All-Region Second Team and All-ODAC First Team laurels to cap off the season. 

To round out the honorable all-region selections from the 2026 season, Nick Stavros (Stony Point, N.Y.) earned All-Region Third Team recognition. Stavros led off for the team in all 50 games played for the Eagles, piling on 72 hits, 40 RBIs, 61 runs scored, and 39 walks. Stavros led the team with the most runs and walks this season and set a season high in his career in walks, RBIs, and runs. Stavros broke the program record for most runs in a season.  

This marks the second all-region honor for Chadwell, Stavros, and Smith and the first recognition for Valbak, Suters, and Bert at BC.
