BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The College Sports Communicators Association (CSC) announced Tuesday afternoon the CSC Academic All-District baseball honorees as Chandler Valbak received his second-straight honor with the award.
CSC Academic All-District recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their strong commitment in the classroom and in the field. To earn academic all-district, recipients must have at least a 3.5 GPA as a sophomore or higher academically, and athletically recipients must compete in 90% of the institution's games or at least start in 66% of the institution's games.
Valbak (Ashburn, Va.) received the honor after starting in all 50 games played this season as a junior. Valbak also set season highs in his career for the Eagles with 72 hits, 46 runs, 17 doubles, 65 RBIs, six home runs, and 31 walks. The business administration major also met the 3.5 GPA requirement.
