BRIDGEWATER - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team blanked Randolph College, 9-0, Friday afternoon in ODAC action played on Mapp Courts.
The Eagles' No 3 doubles team - Kris Stokes and Emmett Johnson - put Bridgewater on the board with an 8-0 victory over John Coffron and Ben Roberts. Joe Dillenbeck and Josh Rodgers rolled to an 8-1 victory at No. 1 over Brad Strober and Edgar Ellis while Freddie Roberts and Nathaniel Horner competed the sweep with an 8-3 verdict at No. 2 over Daniel Crutcher and Joe Kaneda.
Johnson was the first singles player to win as he defeated Randolph's Ellis 6-1, 6-1 to take the point at No.3 singles. Rodgers scored the clinching point with his 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 2 over Crutcher.
Dillenbeck turned back Strober in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 for the victory at No. 1 while Sonet Gandhi blanked Roberts at the No. 6 slot 6-0, 6-0. Horner blanked Coffron 6-0, 6-0 to win at No. 5 and Roberts turned back Kaneda to win the No. 4 flight 6-4, 6-1.
