LEXINGTON, Va. - Bridgewater's No. 1 singles player Canon Secord stayed undefeated Thursday afternoon, claiming the Eagles' lone point in an 8-1 loss to ODAC power Washington and Lee.
The bright spot for the Eagles came at the No.1 singles position where Secord kept his perfect singles record intact, defeating Alex Fedor in two close sets 6-4, 6-4.
The Generals swept the doubles matches without losing a game to take a 3-0 lead.
In singles play, Bridgewater's Gabe Elder played a strong second set in a 6-0, 6-4 loss to Jonathan Moiner at No. 4 singles. Leyton Pullin played W&L's Josh Rassin tough in the opening set in a 6-4, 6-1 loss at the No. 5 slot.
The Eagles return to action next Thursday when they travel to play Division II Shepherd.
