Box Score 2 LYNCHBURG, Va. - It was a tough day at the ballpark Sunday for the Bridgewater Eagles as they dropped a doubleheader at Lynchburg, losing the opener 17-1 and dropping the second game 12-1.
The Hornets took the lead in the opener with four runs in the bottom of the first inning and then blew the game open with four more in the second.
Bridgewater finished the first game with eight hits. Jarret Biesecker, Brandan Hartman and Kyle Carlson had two hits each.
In Game 2, Lynchburg took an early lead with two runs in the bottom of the third and then started pulling away with four runs in the fifth.
Carlson and Jeffrey Snider each had two hits in the second game.
The Eagles finish the regular season with an 11-13 overall record and a 10-12 ODAC mark.
Pairings and dates for the first round of the ODAC baseball tournament will be released later this week by the conference office.
