BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College baseball team allowed one run in a doubleheader sweep of Ferrum on Saturday afternoon, winning 9-0 and 11-1.

The Basics

• Final Score: Bridgewater – 9, Ferrum – 0
• Records: Bridgewater (15-6, 3-1); Ferrum (11-9, 1-5)

How It Happened

• The Eagles jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a hit from Kevin Navedo. Jeffrey Snider scored to make it 1-0 on a throwing error. Later in the inning, Collin Reid drove in Navedo.
• In the third inning Brandan Hartman singled to left field and advanced to second on a throwing error, Snider scored again on the play.
• Bridgewater added three more in the fourth inning. Snider tripled down the right field line driving in Jarret Biesecker and Brett Tharp on the play.
• Snider scored his third run of the day later that inning on a wild pitch to give the Eagles a 6-0 lead.
• The team finished off its dominating game one performance scoring three more in the bottom half of the seventh inning. Tristan Gordon doubled to left center driving in Hartman and Reid. Tharp came up next and ripped a ball to the wall in center earning a triple on the play and advanced home on an error to score BC's ninth and last run of the game.

Match Notes

• Reid Long was stellar on the bump going seven innings earning his ODAC leading sixth win of the season. He struck out eight batters.
• James Swart pitched two shutout innings.
• Snider did it all for the Eagles going 3-4 at the plate with two RBIs also scoring three times and stealing a base.
• Gordon went 2-3 with two RBIs.
• Reid went 2-2 with an RBI and scored a run.

• Final Score: Bridgewater – 11, Ferrum – 1
• Records: Bridgewater (16-6, 4-1); Ferrum (11-10, 1-6)

How It Happened

• Bridgewater again started early on the Panthers in this game with Kevin Navedo driving in Jeffrey Snider on a sac fly in the bottom of the first.
• The squad scored two more runs in the third on an RBI single from Collin Reid that drove in Snider and a sac fly from Tristan Gordon that drove in Navedo. BC now led 3-0.
• Reid continued his hot day at the plate in the fifth doubling to left center to drive in Hunter Clever.
• In the bottom of the seventh, Clever doubled to left center driving in Navedo and Snider to advance Bridgewater's lead to 6-0.
• The Eagles tacked on five more in the eighth. Jarret Biesecker drove in a run on a hit to the pitcher, Snider singled to left field to drive in one, Navedo launched an RBI double to left field, Clever drove in a run on a ground out, and Reid notched his third RBI of the day on a hit to left field.
• Ferrum scored its only run of the day in the top of the ninth with two outs. Clayton Michael singled to left field scoring William Poach.  

Match Notes

• Waring Garber started on the bump for the Eagles. The right hander went four innings allowing three hits and no runs.
• Nick Griffin earned the win with his three innings of work. Griffin struck out three and allowed one hit.
• Tucker Hrasky finished off the Panthers with two innings on the mound. Hrasky struck out four and allowed two hits.
• Reid followed up a solid first game at the plate in game two going 4-5 with three RBIs.
• Clever went 3-4 with three RBIs.
• Snider went 4-5 with an RBI and scored four times.
