FARMVILLE, Va. -- The Bridgewater College men's lacrosse team saw its four-game win streak come to an end in a 10-6 defeat at Hampden-Sydney in ODAC play on Saturday afternoon.

• Final Score: Bridgewater 6, Hampden-Sydney 10
• Records: Bridgewater 7-3, 2-1 ODAC; Hampden-Sydney 6-3, 1-1 ODAC

How It Happened

• Bridgewater opened the scoring as Hayden Gourley put the Eagles in the lead early, followed by Trevor McClelland.
• The 2-0 lead nearly held until the end of the first quarter, but HSC scored with less than five seconds remaining to half the deficit.
• The Tigers tallied two scores early in the second to jump ahead 3-2. Chris Martel used his 100th career goal to tie the game at 3-3 with five and a half minutes left in the half.
• Only seven seconds later, Hampden-Sydney scored again to go ahead 4-3 at the break.
• The two sides traded goals as the Tigers held on to a 6-4 lead entering the final period.
• Martel scored his second of the game on an assist from Connor McLean to cut the lead down one goal, 6-5, but the Tigers went on a 4-0 scoring run to pull ahead 10-5.
• The Eagles got one more, but it was not enough as Hampden-Sydney held on for a 10-6 victory.

Match Notes

• McClelland led the team with three goals followed by Martel who scored a pair.
• Gourley rounded out the scorers for the Eagles.
• Hunter Becker recorded a pair of assists, while McLean had one helper. 
• Gabriel Alexander led all players with 10 ground balls, while Josh Goodwin and Joshua Huffman each grabbed three.
• Huffman also recorded a game-high three caused turnovers.
• Robbie Noyes stopped 16 shots in all 60 minutes.
• Alexander went 14-for-17 from the faceoff X.
