BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater College Men's Lacrosse head coach Mic Grant announced the signing of two assistant coaches Tuesday afternoon. Nate Bladen and Zach Miller will be joining the coaching staff ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Nate Bladen comes to Bridgewater after serving as a graduate assistant for a division II program at Tusculum College. In that role, Bladen served as the primary faceoff coach and worked with both the offensive and defensive units during practices and games. Before his stint with the Pioneers, Bladen was an assistant coach for Elon University's club lacrosse team. Bladen also has youth coaching experience, as he was the head coach for Lynchburg Select's U11 team.
As a player, Bladen played three seasons at Catawba before transferring to Greensboro College for his final season.
Hailing from Oak Ridge, N.C., Bladen graduated from Greensboro College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business in 2025. Bladen is currently working on his Master of Business Administration at Tusculum.
Zach Miller served as the assistant coach and offensive coordinator for Penn College last season. The Wildcats saw plenty of success during Miller's tenure, as they were named the United East coaching staff of the year last season. On top of the honor, Miller anchored one of the top scoring offenses in the NCAA and aided the Wildcats to back-to-back appearances in the United East Championship. Before arriving in Williamsport, Miller moved through the coaching ranks of Longwood's club coaching staff. He arrived at Farmville in 2023 as the program's assistant coach and was promoted to head coach the following season.
Miller is no stranger to the ODAC, as he was a four-year student-athlete at Randolph College. Miller graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sport and Exercise Studies and a minor in Media and Culture.
"I am excited for Nate and Zach's arrival to the program." says Grant. "Both coaches are young and energetic. With Zach's contributions to the program at Penn College and Nate's coaching pedigree, both are sure to be positive additions to the staff."
Both Bladen and Miller will begin their coaching duties effective immediately.
