Box Score BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- The Bridgewater College women's lacrosse team fell to Roanoke, 19-4, in ODAC action at the Jopson Athletic Complex on Tuesday night.
Prior to the game, a moment of silence was held as the Eagles dedicated the game to Morgan's Message. Morgan's Message was started after Duke University women's lacrosse student-athlete Morgan Rodgeers lost her personal battle with mental health. The group's mission is amplifying stories, resources, and expertise to confront student-athlete mental health, builds a community by and for athletes, and provides a platform for advocacy. The goal is to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community, equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics and aim to expand the dialogue on mental health by normalizing conversations, empowering those who suffer in silence, and supporting those who feel alone.
