LEXINGTON, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team fell to top-seeded Washington and Lee 5-0 on Friday in the ODAC semifinals.

The Generals opened up taking all three of the doubles points. 

The top spot featured a battle with senior Canon Secord and freshman Matthew Leonard falling behind an early break of serve and coming up just short 6-8.

In singles action Secord stormed in front taking the opening set 6-2 and was ahead 1-0 in the second set when play was stopped.

At the No. 3 spot senior Matthew Gordon battled in his final match at BC, but trailed 2-6, 1-5 when play was stopped. 

The Eagles season comes to a close in the ODAC Semifinal round in their first appearance since 2017. The team finished 10-5 this season with a 5-3 record in conference play.
