FOREST Va, -- The Bridgewater College track & field teams wrapped up a successful weekend at the ODAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. Six total Eagles received All-ODAC honors this weekend highlighted by Adalia Coleman, who was named the ODAC Indoor Women's Track Athlete of the Meet for the second consecutive year. The conference released the awards Thursday afternoon.
Coleman, the reigning Division II 60m National Champion, started the day grabbing first in the 60m preliminaries with a time of 7.69. In the finals Coleman went on to shatter her previous record, winning the event with a time of 7.54. Coleman's time is the best in Division III for the year and ties the current all-time Bridgewater record set previously by Amber Celen. Additionally, Coleman's time slots her tied for seventh all-time in Division III history.
Coleman continued her day with a win in the 200m running for a time of 25.15 notching her second on the Eagle's all-time list. This time also slotted her ninth in Division III.
On the men's side, Kyle Clanton got the day started for the Eagles grabbing second place in the long jump with a mark of 6.98m. This mark placed Clanton fifth all-time in Eagles history.
Mike Smith took home a pair of all-conference honors starting with second in the weight throw on day one after recording a mark of 18.07. On day two Smith grabbed first in the shot-put with a heave of 14.83m also moving him to second all-time in Eagles history.
Peter Fulton also took home a pair of medals kicking off day one with a third-place finish in the weight throw recording a mark of 17.38m. Fulton notched a second-place finish on day two in the shot-put recording a throw of 14.20m.
Anthony Matthews earned All-ODAC honors grabbing third in the triple jump with a mark of 14.17m notching him seventh on the Eagle's all-time list.
Easton Repko grabbed an all-ODAC honor, placing second in the pole vault with a season-best mark of 4.15m.
On the track, Clanton grabbed another all-ODAC honor with a third place finish in the 60m running a time of 6.88. this time also slots him tied for third on the Eagle's all-time list.
The Eagles are back in action at the South Region Qualifier at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va.
