HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's track and field team completed the first day of the EMU Heritage Invitational Friday evening. The Eagles had entries in only two events, making for a short day one.
Trey Birchett was the lone BC entry in the men's javelin throw. Birchett posted a best throw of 45.40 meters on his second try to place fourth in the event.
The Eagles had eight entries in the men's hammer throw. Noah Keller led the way with a second-place finish in the event with a top throw of 39.94 meters on his final attempt. Ryan Duncan, Luke Williams, and Bryce Hoffman joined Keller in the finals, placing fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively. Nick Goleno missed the cut for the finals, placing seventh with a top throw of 34.61 meters.
The Eagles will resume day two of the EMU Heritage Invitational tomorrow at 3 p.m. The meet will be streamed live on FloCollege.
