WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's track and field team capped off their weekend at the Colonial Relays Saturday afternoon.
Joe Flynn was the first BC competitor on the final day with the men's discus throw. Flynn scored a point for the Eagles with an eighth-place finish stemming from a top throw of 42.93 meters. Flynn's top throw became the third-best mark in the ODAC this season.
Walker Knicely competed in the men's high jump and placed eighth after clearing the 4.47-meter threshold on his final attempt.
Knicely was joined by Kyle Galloway, Gian Sirico, and Jayden Davenport in the men's 4x100-meter relay. The quartet placed fourth with the anchor crossing the line at 43.35.
The Eagles also made an entry to the men's 4000-meter distance medley relay. The freshman quartet of Gavin Diehl, Grayson Jacquez, Malakai Wettig, and Kaedon Howley placed eighth, stopping the clock at 10:42.62.
Joe Amlacher and Jayden Brown placed fifth and sixth respectively in the men's 110-meter hurdles. Amlacher clocked 15.79, and Brown crossed the line at the 15.80 mark.
Bridgewater ended their day with an entry in the men's 4x400-meter relay. Ben Baker teamed with Diehl, Amlacher, and Galloway for a ninth-place finish, clocking 3:33.41.
The Eagles are set to travel up Route 42 this upcoming weekend to compete at the EMU Heritage Invitational beginning Thursday, Apr. 9.
