LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's track and field team wrapped up the final day of the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic hosted by the University of Lynchburg on Saturday.
The Eagles kicked things off this morning with the 5000m invite which was moved due to inclement weather last night.
Anthony Cadle posted a time of 16:10.46 in the event.
In the 4x100m relay, the Eagles team of
Kaegan Avalos,
Kyle Clanton, Connor Mackey and
Aaron Moon secured sixth posting a time of 42.21 seconds.
In the 100m invite, Clanton grabbed second posting a time of 10.61 seconds which was a new PR. In the finals, Clanton improved upon his time notching second and blazing to a time of 10.49 seconds which moves him to second all-time for the Eagles.
Trey Birchett ran for a time of 19.12 seconds in the 110m hurdles.
Brandon D'Amour recorded a time of 23.72 seconds in the event.
In the 400m run, Avalos finished 13th running for a time of 50.31 seconds.
Cy Alderman finished with a time of 52.03 seconds on the day. Connor Mackey posted a time of 53.61 seconds.
Ben Baker ran for a time of 56.93 seconds.
Calvin Hulleman set a new PR in the 800m run posting a time of 2:04.59.
In the 400m hurdles,
Tyler Johnson set a new PR with a time of 1:02.61 as did
Caleb Bradley who ran for a time of 1:03.94. D'Amour recorded a time of 1:05.86.
Alderman set a new PR in the 200m running for a time of 22.96 seconds.
Ryder Rose took home ninth in the 3000m steeplechase running for a time of 10:46.42 setting a new PR. Bradley secured 11 place, posting a time of 10:58.64.
In the field events,
Trey Birchett set a new PR in the long jump recording a mark of 6.05m (19' 10¼").
Clanton secured first in the long jump invite recording a new personal best jump of 6.98m (22' 10¾").
Bryce Hoffman recorded a mark of 10.51m in the shot put.
In the high jump, Connor Mackey posted a mark of 1.83m (6' 0") finishing ninth.
Euan Spikers recorded a mark of 1.78m (5' 10") on the day.
Saylor Schott set a new PR with a leap of 1.68m (5' 6").
Anthony Matthews finished second in the triple jump invite with a new personal best jump of 13.46m (44' 2").
In the discus throw,
Peter Fulton notched second with a heave of 49.56m (162' 7").
Jake McNutt grabbed fifth with a mark of 43.83m (143' 9") on the day. Bryce Hoffman recorded a throw of 35.76m (117' 4").
The Eagles return to action Sunday, April 30 for the ODAC Championships at Bridgewater College.
