Final Score: Bridgewater 14, Guilford 7
Records: Bridgewater 7-6, 4-3 ODAC; Guilford 6-7, 2-5 ODAC

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The first two minutes of the contest saw the Quakers get two quick shots on the cage with Tyler Carney making a save on both. The game then went into a 35-minute delay due to lightning in the area. After the "all clear", the Eagles soon scored the first goal of the game out of the hands of Grant Nyland. Guilford responded a few minutes later to tie the game with six minutes to go in the quarter. Chris Martel put the Eagles back in front with 4:41 showing on the scoreboard after an unassisted goal. Following a man-up opportunity, Connor McLean took possession at X with under 10 seconds on the shot clock. He was able to dodge his defender and score to put BC up 3-1. Riley Stewart added another one as BC led 4-1 after the opening 15 minutes.
  • The scoring run from the Eagles extended to seven straight goals as Trevor McClelland, Martel, Drew Huber and Stewart all tacked on scores to give BC an 8-1 lead with six minutes left in the half. Guilford got two back thanks to Joe Hirvonen and Gabe Alvarez, but Bridgewater led 8-3 at halftime.
  • Martel completed his hat trick with the first goal of the third quarter before McClelland tacked on another and Huber scored off an assist from Jim Davis to make it 11-3. The Quakers scored once in the third, but it was washed out by a third goal of the game by McClelland, 12-4 after 45 minutes.
  • In the fourth, Huber scored off a pass from Colby Smith before an obscure goal was credited to Stewart as a loose ball went into the cage, 14-4. Guilford went on to score three straight goals to close out the contest, but the run was not enough as the Eagles held on for a 14-7 win.
