Bernadette Connor Added to Women's Lacrosse Staff

BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- Bridgewater College head women's lacrosse coach Ashley Hughes has announced the addition of Bernadette Connor to her coaching staff ahead of the 2024 season.

Connor, a 2007 graduate of The College of New Jersey, spent the last three seasons leading the Randolph women's lacrosse program. At the helm of the program, she guided Sarah Perry to All-ODAC honors as she was second in the conference with 49 goals in 2021. She took over a team that had just five wins over the previous three seasons and improved the record each year. She is third in program history in wins for a team that spans back to the late 1970s.

Before leading the WildCats, she spent time as a volunteer assistant at her alma mater that went on to be an NCAA Tournament semifinalist in 2018. Since then, she has coached at the college, high school and club level with stops at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North and as an assistant at Kean University.

Connor was a four-year player for TCNJ during her playing days and was part of the NCAA Division III National Championship teams in 2005 and 2006 and the national runner-up in 2004.

In addition to her women's lacrosse coaching career, Connor served as the head middle school boys soccer coach at South Hunterdon Regional where she was also teaching health and physical education. Also, Connor was an assistant for the varsity girls basketball team for one season. She finished a second degree in nursing at Thomas Edison University in 2015.
