FAIRFAX, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's track & field team completed its time in Fairfax at the Patriot Games on Saturday.
Mackenzie Young placed seventh in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:25.85 while
Emily Smeds followed with a ninth-place 18:45.88 finish. Young is now first in the conference in the event and Smeds holds the third fastest time.
The triple jump saw
Olivia Bates finish seventh with a best mark of 10.32m (33' 10.25'').
Abby Mikolay earned a seventh-place finish in the shot put with a projection measuring 11.96m (39' 3''). This throw moves her to second overall in the ODAC on the season.
Mikolay also placed 14
th in the weight throw heaving the apparatus 13.08m (42' 11'') while
Brianna Morgan followed in order placing 15
th with a throw of 12.42m (40' 9'').
Kylah Gray is now ninth in program history with a toss of 12.09m (39' 8'').
The Eagles are back in action next weekend as the team travels to Lexington, Va. for the VMI Winter Relays on Feb. 2-3.
