FOREST, Va. - Abby Mikolay of the Bridgewater College women's track and field team earned her second consecutive ODAC field athlete of the week honor Tuesday afternoon. 

The honor comes after Mikolay achieved top-15 marks in both the women's shot put and discus throw, and breaking a program record in the women's hammer throw last week at the Colonial Relays. 

On the opening day of action at the Williamsburg, Va. meet, Mikolay smashed the program hammer throw record with a top throw of 44.83 meters. Mikolay placed fifth in the event. 

Mikolay followed her Friday performance with third-place finishes in both the discus throw and shot put. Mikolay registered a 43.76-meter throw in the discus throw, slotting her as the 12th best mark in DIII. Mikolay had a best throw of 13.42 meters in the shot put, putting her closer to surpassing the conference outdoor record. Mikolay's throw sits 13th in the nation. 

Mikolay and the Eagles kick back into gear at the EMU Heritage Invitational on Thursday, Apr. 9.
