WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's track and field team capped off their weekend at the Colonial Relays Saturday afternoon.
Abby Mikolay started the meet with a third-place finish in the women's shot put with a top throw of 13.42 meters. The throw currently sits at the top of all ODAC marks this season and 13th in DIII.
Mikolay also claimed bronze in the women's discus throw with a top throw of 43.76 meters. Mikolay currently has the best mark in the conference in that event and is ranked 12th nationally.
Olivia Crigger placed fourth in the women's triple jump with a best mark of 11.29 meters. Maddie Watson also competed in the event with a best mark of 11.19 meters.
Watson also competed in the women's 100-meter hurdles, placing seventh with a time of 14.96.
The Eagles made an entry in the women's 4x100-meter relay with Watson teaming up with Jade Buckles, Megan Walter, and Summer Wallace. The quartet placed sixth with a time of 49.29.
Bridgewater ended their afternoon with an entry in the women's 4x400-meter relay. Kasi Showers teamed up with Annah Wood, Wallace, and Buckles for a time of 4:09.73, which is good for the third-best mark in the conference.
The Eagles are set to travel up Route 42 this upcoming weekend to compete at the EMU Heritage Invitational beginning Thursday, Apr. 9.
