HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater college women's track and field team completed the final day of action in the 2026 ODAC outdoor track and field championships. The Eagles placed third with 139 points. Washington and Lee completed the gauntlet by placing first in the outdoor championships, along with winning the indoor and cross-country championships earlier this year. Lynchburg placed second with 151.5 points.
Maddie Watson and Olivia Crigger opened with respective second and fourth place finishes in the triple jump. Watson recorded her best jump of 11.55 meters on her final attempt to earn All-ODAC second team honors. Crigger also posted her best jump on her final attempt, an 11.34-meter jump to give the Eagles five points.
Abby Mikolay won her second individual event of the meet in the discus throw. Mikolay re-entered the national meet conversation with a top throw of 44.07 meters, which ranks 20th in division III this season. Emma Bobbitt placed sixth in the event with a top throw of 34.65 meters.
On the track, the Eagles opened with a third-place performance in the 4x100-meter relay. The quartet of Megan Walter, Watson, Summer Wallace, and Jade Buckles clocked a season best 48.64.
Olivia Morra laid down a personal best 4:49.80 in the 1500-meter run, good for fifth place. Morra also earned points for BC in the 5k, placing fourth with a time of 18:22.52. Morra earned nine points for the Eagles.
Watson and Crigger competed alongside one another again in the 100-meter hurdles. After recording the top time in the prelims, Watson won the ODAC title with a time of 14.96. Crigger ran a season best 15.45 to join her teammate on the podium in third.
Summer Wallace placed fourth in the 400-meter dash, clocking 57.69. This was the last event before the meet was put on a delay for inclement weather.
The meet kicked back off with the 100-meter dash. Jade Buckles's 12.11-second dash was enough to win her the ODAC championship.
Buckles returned to the track for the 200-meter dash, joined by Wallace. Buckles posted a time of 25.11 to finish second, and Wallace clocked 25.24 to finish third, earning a combined 14 points for Bridgewater.
Kasi Showers placed fifth in the women's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:13.42.
Bridgewater ended the meet with the 4x400-meter relay. Walter, Showers, Annah Wood, and Watson placed fourth, crossing the line at the 4:14.41 mark.
Bridgewater is scheduled to compete at the Liberty Twilight on Tuesday, May 5.
