LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's track and field team completed their 2026 outdoor regular season slate at the Wildcat Invitational
There were several strong performances from the Eagles, but one that stood out was Summer Wallace's record-breaking performance in the women's 400-meter dash. Wallace bested the field with a time of 56.84 to take first in the meet and reset the program record. Wallace also claimed gold in the long jump with a top jump of 5.55 meters. Wallace's performance in the long jump landed her fifth in the program record books.
Olivia Crigger also had a strong outing on Saturday, as she reached national marks in the women's triple jump after recording a best jump of 11.55 meters. The jump landed her third in the program record book and 18th in division III this season. Crigger placed second in the long jump with a best jump of 5.16 meters, and third in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.71. Crigger competed alongside her teammate, Maddie Watson in the 100-meter hurdles. Watson placed first with a time of 14.94.
Elizabeth Ramos landed fourth in the women's hammer throw, registering a top throw of 39.79 meters. Ramos's performance was the eighth-best in program history.
Jade Buckles ran 12.29 meters in the women's 100-meter dash and placed first. Buckles was also the first to cross the tape in the women's 200-meter dash with a time of 25.04.
After completing the regular season, Bridgewater now awaits the conference championship meet. The ODAC championships will be held at EMU, starting on Friday, Apr. 24. The entirety of the meet will be streamed live on FloCollege.
