La CROSSE, WI – Abby Mikolay represented the Bridgewater College women's track and field team in the 2026 outdoor track and field national championships in shot put Friday afternoon. Mikolay finished tenth to earn the first all-American honor of her collegiate career.  

Mikolay competed in the second flight of the event. On her first throw, Mikolay registered a 12.14-meter throw, placing her twelfth. Mikolay followed with a 13.36-meter throw to land her eighth. After being flagged on her third attempt, Mikolay settled in tenth after the first three throws, earning her second team all-American honors. Mikolay's performance granted her the 69th all-American honor in program history.
