SALEM, Va. – Abby Mikolay of the Bridgewater College track & field team headlined at the Joe LaRocco Invitational, hosted by Roanoke, on Saturday.
Mikolay had an outstanding day breaking the school record in the shot put with a heave measuring 12.68 meters (41' 7.25''). This throw places her atop the ODAC and places her in third in the Division III South Region.
In the triple jump
Olivia Bates leapt out to 10.37 meters (34' 0.25'') to claim fifth in the event.
Jade Buckles finished seventh after getting out to a mark of 10.30 meters (33' 9.5'').
Mackenzie Young moves up to number four in program history after finishing third in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:27.74.
Summer Wallace placed seventh in the 200-meter dash after clocking a 26.82 finish in the event. She now places tenth in program history.
Adalia Coleman finished fifth in the 60-meter dash after being timed at the 8.07 mark. Buckles now moves to seventh in program history after clocking an 8.04 finish in the event.
The Eagles are back in action next Saturday at 10 a.m. for the JDL DMR Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.
