Women's Track & Field Set Multiple Personal Records at JDL DMR Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Bridgewater College women's track & field team set multiple new personal records at the JDL DMR Last Chance Invitational

Mackenzie Young placed first in the mile clocking a time of 5:12.54 to set a new personal record and climb to the second spot in program history. This time also puts her fourth in the ODAC.

Emily Smeds moves up to sixth all-time in the 3,000-meter run after placing sixth at the 10:32.80 mark.

In the weight throw, Abby Mikolay placed sixth with a toss measuring 14.62 meters (47' 11.75) and now moves up to the second spot in program history after the throw. The Waynesboro, Va. native is also fifth in the conference with this measurement. Brianna Morgan also earned a top-10 finish in the event after a throw of 13.14 meters (43' 1.5'')

Mikolay also took part in the shot put placing seventh with a heave of 12.42 meters (40' 9'').

The Eagles take on the ODAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 24-25 in Salem, Va.
