Box Score HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Bridgewater College men's tennis team fell to Gordon College 8-1 on Thursday night.
Bridgewater was kept off the scoreboard in doubles action, but not without some resistance.

Mark Gordon fell behind early at the No. 2 spot, but crawled back into the match before falling 6-8.
Noah Hughes picked up the lone victory of the match for the Eagles at the No. 5 slot. The senior took the opening set with a late break of serve and rode the wave as he jumped out in front to a 3-0 lead in the second set on the way to taking it 6-4.
Both Elder and M. Gordon were locked in battles in singles play. Elder trailed 1-4 in the opening set and lost it 3-6, but closed the gap and rolled the momentum over into set two before taking it 6-3. The match tiebreak was dead even until the closing stages as he fell 7-10. M. Gordon took the opening set 6-2 and dropped the second one by the same score at 2-6. The junior fell in the match tiebreak 2-10.
The Eagles are back in action on March 12 at Roanoke at 4 p.m.
