LEXINGTON Va. – The Bridgewater College women's track & field team concluded day two of the VMI Winter Relays Saturday afternoon.
Jade Buckles set a new personal record in the 200-meter dash finishing with a time of 26.47 to secure the seventh spot in program history. Buckles now sits fourth in the ODAC with her new personal record.
Emily Smeds also earned a new personal record finishing third in the 3,000-meter run being clocked at the 10:43.89 mark. This time shaves off two whole seconds from her original record.
Abby Mikolay finished fifth in shot put after a heave that measured 11.82 meters (38' 9.50'').
Olivia Bates hopped her way to a sixth-place finish in the triple jump after successfully landing a measurement of 10.39 meters (34' 1.25'').
Summer Wallace followed right behind her teammate finishing seventh in the event with hitting the 10.33-meter (33' 10.75'') mark.
J'Quaycia Brown rounded out the top 10 for the Eagles placing ninth with a leap measuring 10.27 meters (33' 8.50'').
Bridgewater takes on the Joe LaRocco Invitational, hosted by Roanoke College, next Saturday with events beginning at 10 a.m.
