Women's Track & Field Concludes Weekend at Washington and Lee Carnival

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's track & field team competed in day two of the Washington and Lee Track & Field Carnival.

Starting off in the field, Olivia Bates finished third in the triple jump with a mark measuring 10.59 meters (34' 9'') which puts her fifth in the ODAC. Kylah Gray finished fifth in the event leaping out to the 10.38-meter (34' 1.25'') mark which ranks her seventh in the conference. Summer Wallace placed sixth with a jump of 10.32 meters (33' 10.25'') putting her eighth in the league.

Abby Mikolay won the shot put registering a toss of 12.13 meters (39' 9.75''). With this toss, she moves to fourth spot in program history. Mikolay also sits atop the ODAC, while also ranking 15th in Division III.

On the track, Wallace competed in the 100-meter dash finishing third with a time of 12.84 which gives her the sixth spot in the conference.

Bates clocked a 27.44 finish in the 200-meter dash which puts her 12th in the league, while also recording a time of 16.63 in the 100-meter hurdles which gives her the sixth spot in the conference.

The Eagles return to action this weekend as they host the annual Doc Jopson Invitational on March 22-23.
