LEWISBURG, Pa. – Emily Smeds and Mackenzie Young of the Bridgewater College women's track & field team competed in the Bison Outdoor Classic on Saturday.
In a highly competitive field of 68 runners from all division of the NCAA, Young grabbed 22nd in the 5,000-meter run clocking a time of 18:17.52.
Smeds, also competing with runners from all NCAA divisions, set a new personal record in the 10,000-meter run clocking a 37:00.00 finish. She shaves off 0:51.56 from her record setting time that she claimed at the Washington and Lee Track & Field Carnival.
The Eagles will wrap up their regular season at the Hopkins/Loyola Meet in Baltimore, Md. next Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
