LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's track & field team concluded its regular season at the WildCat Invitational hosted by Randolph on Saturday.
Calvin Hulleman finished second in the 800-meter run with a personal best time of 1:54.86. Hulleman is now fifth all time in program history while is also fifth in the ODAC.
Bennett Cupps secured second in the 1,500-meter run crossing the line at the 4:01.00 mark.
Walker Knicely took second in the pole vault clearing the bar at the 4.00-meter mark (13' 1.5''). Easton Repko and Thomas Hennessey each cleared the bar set at 3.85 meters (12' 7.5'').
Tony Nesselrodt won the hammer throw setting a new personal best in the event. Nesselrodt registered a heave of 50.01 meters (164' 1'') which still has him fifth in BC's top ten while moving to second in the conference.
Jesus Flores competed in the shot put producing a third-place finish with a mark of 13.26 meters (43' 6'').
Bridgewater had three compete on Friday in the javelin with Caleb Palacios recording a season-high mark of 40.94 meters (134' 4'') which scored points for the team.
BC finished fourth in the event with 66 points. Division II Emory and Henry won the event with 142 points, Virginia Tech Running Club recorded 112 points to take second and Randolph garnered 77 points to sit third.
The Eagles return to action on April 26-27 when they take part in the ODAC Championships taking place at Bridgewater Stadium. Friday events begin at 12 p.m.
