BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's track & field team wrapped up day two of the ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday.
Starting off the day, Anthony Matthews placed second in the triple jump to secure Second Team All-ODAC honors with a leap of 13.94 meters (45' 9'').
Walker Knicely received All-ODAC honors on the third team in the pole vault clearing the bar set at the 4.18-meter (13' 8.5'') mark moving him into eighth in BC history.
The 4x100 meter relay squad consisting of Cy Alderman, Kyle Clanton, Kyle Galloway and Knicely received Third Team All-ODAC laurels securing a time of 42.19.
Clanton took fourth in the 100-meter dash finals being timed with a 10.58 finish. This time ranks him 20th in Division III.
Calvin Hulleman secured points for the Eagles finishing fourth in the 800-meter run crossing the line at the 1:55.79 mark.
Bennett Cupps grabbed points in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:02.42 good enough for seventh place in the event.
Knicely competed in the 400-meter run finals securing a time of 50.37 in the event to earn points for Bridgewater.
The Eagles grabbed third place as a team ending the event with 96 points. Lynchburg garnered the championship trophy after scoring 174 points while Washington and Lee took second place with 169 points.
Bridgewater returns to action this Friday, May 3 when the team travels to Lynchburg, Va. to compete in the Hill City Twilight starting at 4 p.m.
